DADA Education Foundation
The mission of the Detroit Auto Dealers Association Education Foundation is to promote excellence in education through quality programs and leadership. The following educational programs and scholarship awards are under the DADA Education Foundation.
Courageous Persuaders is a national scholarship competition that invites high school students to create 30-second commercial to warn middle school students about the dangers of underage drinking and the dangers of texting while driving. The program was built upon the premise that high school students have a tremendous influence on younger middle school peers, and with constructive messages, can positively impact decisions and potentially even save lives.
North American International (NAIAS) Education Day: A World of Opportunities welcomes school groups grades 9 – 12 and college students to explore a large variety of career pathway opportunities related to the automotive industry at the NAIAS at Cobo Center in Detroit. Throughout the day students will meet with industry specialists, take expert-led show floor tours focused around their career interests and gain insight into the latest technology, engineering, automotive design and environmental concerns.
The NAIAS Annual High School Poster Contest continues to engage the creative minds of Michigan’s future graphic design artists and recognize students from local art and technology communities for their talents. The poster entries are judged by an independent panel of recognized members of the art and automotive industries. Seventeen total winning entries are posted on the official NAIAS website naias.com and will be on display during the public show days of the NAIAS.
